Folklore Program Graduate Assistant Position:
Each year the Folklore Program at GMU sponsors one student with a position as a Graduate Research Assistant. This nine-month position (August-May) provides the student with up 18 credits of tuition support and an annual stipend of $17,500. The student works 20 hours a week and reports to a faculty member of the folklore department. Tasks for this position include website maintenance, holding the position of treasurer for the student group the Folklore Roundtable, organizing events, running the department’s social media accounts, and other tasks as assigned.
Writing Center Positions:
George Mason’s Writing Center offers positions for graduate students. The position is typically 15 hours a week and the pay is contract based, meaning the hourly depends on available funding. These positions may also include tuition support.
