George Mason University's proximity to Washington DC offers a wide variety of outstanding folklore resources, including the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian Institution. Our program provides unparalleled opportunities for learning and professional development.

Prospective students are invited to visit the GMU campus in Fairfax, VA to gain a better understanding of the Folklore Studies Program by visiting classes and meeting with faculty and current students. To arrange a campus visit, please contact one of the Folklore Studies faculty members.
