Engaging Opportunities

The Folklore Studies Program offers students access to its faculty's excellent connections with local and federal government cultural agencies. Our students pursue internships at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian’s Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, and many others. Graduate Students in the Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies Folklore concentration work closely with faculty members who have established research partnerships with diverse organizations in the Washington metropolitan region, providing hands-on training in the field.
